For more information, see Table 59, page 70. 3.1.1.3 Media interface 1000BASE-X SFP Fiber (1000BASE-X Link Partner) Use the following settings to configure the 1000BASE-X SFP fiber media interface. • Set register 23 bits 10:8 = 010. • Set register 0 bit 12 = 1 (enable autonegotiation). • Set register 18G = 0x8FC1. For more information, see Table 59, page 70. The F in 0x8FC1 identifies the port. To exclude a port from the configuration, set its bit to 0. For example, the configuration of port 0 and port 1 to 1000BASE-X is 0011 or 3, making the bit setting 0x83C1. Note: Whenever there is a mode change a software reset (register 0 bit 15) is required to make the mode change effective. This register is cleared when read.
