DS22272A-page 53 MCP4706/4716/4726 6.4 Write Volatile Configuration bits (C2:C0 = ‘100’) This write command is used to update the volatile configuration register bits only. This command is a quick method to modify the configuration of the DAC, such as the selection of the resistor ladder reference voltage, the op amp gain, and the Power Down state. Figure 6-4 shows an example of this write command. FIGURE 6-4: Write Volatile Configuration Bits Command. Device Addressing Note 1: The device updates VOUT at the falling edge of the SCL at the end of this ACK pulse.
