The board-level design must ensure that the reflected waveform at the pad does not exceed the
voltage overshoot/undershoot limits provided in the datasheet. This is a requirement to ensure
long-term reliability.

Notes:
1. Speed and current consumption increase as the board resistance values decrease.
2. Resistor values ensure I/O diode long-term reliability.
3. At 70°C, customers could still use 420
on every I/O.
4. At 85°C, a 5 V solution on every other I/O is permitted, since the resistance is lower (150
) and the current
is higher. Also, the designer can still use 420
and use the solution on every I/O.
5. At 100°C, the 5 V solution on every I/O is permitted, since 420
are used to limit the current to 5.9 mA.
