Half-Bridge Drivers
Within the SBC chip, there are 4 half-bridge (HB) drivers for HB1 to HB4. Figure 3.12 shows the block diagram,
which is the same for each HB driver.

Features of the HB Drivers:
•
Separate enable bit for each MOSFET. If both enable bits are set, then both MOSFETs are off; this safety
logic avoids the possibility of turning on both NMOS.
•
Separate PWM enable bit for each driver.
•
Each MOSFET has over-current detection (OCH and OCL for the high and low side drivers respectively)
and protection circuitry. The over-current event automatically disables the driver (see section 3.8.2).
•
If an over-voltage or under-voltage is detected at the VDDE pin the drivers are automatically disabled
(see section 3.4).
•
Each driver has diagnostic circuitry for detection of open or short conditions in the output load (see
section 3.8.3).
