92 / 126 page  On-Chip Peripherals L9803 92/126 5.7 CAN BUS TRANSCEIVER 5.7.1 Introduction The CAN bus transceiver allows the connection of the microcontroller, with CAN controller unit, to a CAN bus. The transmitter section drives the CAN bus while the receiver section senses the data on the bus. The CAN transceiver meets ISO/DIS 11898 up to 1 MBaud. 5.7.2 Main Features TRANSMITTER: ■ Generation of differential Output signals ■ Short Circuit protection from transients in automotive environment ■ Slope control to reduce RFI and EMI ■ High speed (up to 1Mbaud) ■ If un-powered, L9803 CAN node does not disturb the bus lines (the transceiver is in recessive state).
