AnevaluationboardisavailablefromHoltektoenabletheeasydevelopmentofuserapplications. ThisisusedtogetherwiththeSoundEffectGeneratorWizardsoftwareandtheHolteke-Linkto enabletheusersoundfilestobeprogrammedintothedevice.Theevaluationboardalsoallowsthe usertoimmediatelyplaythefilesthusallowingforrapidevaluationoftherequiredsoundeffects. Refertothe“SoundEffectGeneratorWizardUserGuide”formoredetailedinformation. Interrupts Interruptsareanimportantpartofanymicrocontrollersystem.Whenanexternaleventoran internalfunctionsuchasaTimerModulerequiresmicrocontrollerattention,theircorresponding interruptwillenforceatemporarysuspensionofthemainprogramallowingthemicrocontrollerto directattentiontotheirrespectiveneeds.Thedeviceonlycontainsinternalinterruptsfunctions.The internalinterruptsaregeneratedbyvariousinternalfunctionssuchasTMs,andTimeBases. Interrupt Registers Overallinterruptcontrol,whichbasicallymeansthesettingofrequestflagswhencertain microcontrollerconditionsoccurandthesettingofinterruptenablebitsbytheapplicationprogram, iscontrolledbyaseriesofregisters,locatedintheSpecialPurposeDataMemory,asshowninthe accompanyingtable.ThefirstistheINTC0~INTC1registerswhichsetuptheprimaryinterrupts,the secondistheMFIregisterwhichsetuptheMulti-functioninterrupts. Eachregistercontainsanumberofenablebitstoenableordisableindividualregistersaswellas interruptflagstoindicatethepresenceofaninterruptrequest.Thenamingconventionofthese followsaspecificpattern.Firstislistedanabbreviatedinterrupttype,thenthe(optional)numberof thatinterruptfollowedbyeitheran“E”forenable/disablebitor“F”forrequestflag.
