PWM Output Mode Toselectthismode,bitsPTM1andPTM0inthePTMC1registershouldbesetto10respectively andalsothePTIO1andPTIO0bitsshouldbesetto10respectively.ThePWMfunctionwithin thePTMisusefulforapplicationswhichrequirefunctionssuchasmotorcontrol,heatingcontrol, illuminationcontrol,etc.Byprovidingasignaloffixedfrequencybutofvaryingdutycycleonthe PTMoutputpin,asquarewaveACwaveformcanbegeneratedwithvaryingequivalentDCRMS values. AsboththeperiodanddutycycleofthePWMwaveformcanbecontrolled,thechoiceofgenerated waveformisextremelyflexible.InthePWMmode,thePTCCLRbithasnoeffectasthePWM period.BothoftheCCRPandCCRAregistersareusedtogeneratethePWMwaveform,oneregister isusedtocleartheinternalcounterandthuscontrolthePWMwaveformfrequency,whiletheother oneisusedtocontrolthedutycycle.ThePWMwaveformfrequencyanddutycyclecantherefore becontrolledbythevaluesintheCCRAandCCRPregisters. Aninterruptflag,oneforeachoftheCCRAandCCRP,willbegeneratedwhenacomparematch occursfromeitherComparatorAorComparatorP.ThePTOCbitinthePTMC1registerisusedto selecttherequiredpolarityofthePWMwaveformwhilethetwoPTIO1andPTIO0bitsareusedto enablethePWMoutputortoforcethePTMoutputpintoafixedhighorlowlevel.ThePTPOLbit isusedtoreversethepolarityofthePWMoutputwaveform. • 10-bit PWM Output Mode, Edge-aligned Mode CCRP 1~1023 0 Period 1~1023 1024 Duty CCRA IffSYS=16MHz,TMclocksourceselectfSYS/4,CCRP=512andCCRA=128, ThePTMPWMoutputfrequency=(fSYS/4)/512=fSYS/2048=7.8125kHz,duty=128/512=25%, IftheDutyvaluedefinedbytheCCRAregisterisequaltoorgreaterthanthePeriodvalue,thenthe PWMoutputdutyis100%. |
