AnothertypeofresetiswhentheWatchdogTimeroverflowsandresetsthemicrocontroller.All typesofresetoperationsresultindifferentregisterconditionsbeingsetup.Anotherresetexistsinthe formofaLowVoltageReset,LVR,whereafullresetisimplementedinsituationswherethepower supplyvoltagefallsbelowacertainthreshold. Reset Functions Therearefourwaysinwhichamicrocontrollerresetcanoccur,througheventsoccurringinternally: Power-on Reset Themostfundamentalandunavoidableresetistheonethatoccursafterpowerisfirstappliedto themicrocontroller.AswellasensuringthattheProgramMemorybeginsexecutionfromthefirst memoryaddress,apower-onresetalsoensuresthatcertainotherregistersarepresettoknown conditions.AlltheI/Oportandportcontrolregisterswillpowerupinahighconditionensuringthat allpinswillbefirstsettoinputs.
