Periodic Type TM Operation Modes

ThePeriodicTypeTMcanoperateinoneoffiveoperatingmodes,CompareMatchOutputMode,

PWMOutputMode,SinglePulseOutputMode,CaptureInputModeorTimer/CounterMode.The

operatingmodeisselectedusingtheT1M1andT1M0bitsintheTM1C1register.

Compare Match Output Mode

Toselectthismode,bitsT1M1andT1M0intheTM1C1register,shouldbesetto00respectively.

Inthismodeoncethecounterisenabledandrunningitcanbeclearedbythreemethods.Theseare

acounteroverflow,acomparematchfromComparatorAandacomparematchfromComparatorP.

WhentheT1CCLRbitislow,therearetwowaysinwhichthecountercanbecleared.Oneiswhen

acomparematchfromComparatorP,theotheriswhentheCCRPbitsareallzerowhichallows

thecountertooverflow.HerebothT1AFandT1PFinterruptrequestflagsforComparatorAand

ComparatorPrespectively,willbothbegenerated.

IftheT1CCLRbitintheTM1C1registerishighthenthecounterwillbeclearedwhenacompare

matchoccursfromComparatorA.However,hereonlytheT1AFinterruptrequestflagwillbe

generatedevenifthevalueoftheCCRPbitsislessthanthatoftheCCRAregisters.Thereforewhen

T1CCLRishighnoT1PFinterruptrequestflagwillbegenerated.IntheCompareMatchOutput

Mode,theCCRAcannotbesetto“0”.

Asthenameofthemodesuggests,afteracomparisonismade,theTMoutputpin,willchange

state.TheTMoutputpinconditionhoweveronlychangesstatewhenaT1AFinterruptrequestflag

isgeneratedafteracomparematchoccursfromComparatorA.TheT1PFinterruptrequestflag,

generatedfromacomparematchoccursfromComparatorP,willhavenoeffectontheTMoutput

pin.ThewayinwhichtheTMoutputpinchangesstatearedeterminedbytheconditionofthe

T1IO1andT1IO0bitsintheTM1C1register.TheTMoutputpincanbeselectedusingtheT1IO1

andT1IO0bitstogohigh,togolowortotogglefromitspresentconditionwhenacomparematch

occursfromComparatorA.TheinitialconditionoftheTMoutputpin,whichissetupafterthe

T1ONbitchangesfromlowtohigh,issetupusingtheT1OCbit.NotethatiftheT1IO1andT1IO0

bitsarezerothennopinchangewilltakeplace.
