General Description

ThedeviceisaFlashMemorytype8-bithighperformanceRISCarchitecturemicrocontroller.

OfferinguserstheconvenienceofFlashMemorymulti-programmingfeatures,thisdevicealso

includesawiderangeoffunctionsandfeatures.OthermemoryincludesanareaofRAMData

MemoryaswellasanareaofEEPROMmemoryforstorageofnon-volatiledatasuchasserial

numbers,calibrationdataetc.

Analogfeaturesincludeamulti-channel12-bitA/Dconverter,anovervoltageprotectionfunction,

anovercurrentprotectionfunction.MultipleandextremelyflexibleTimerModulesprovidetiming,

pulsegenerationandPWMgenerationfunctions.ProtectivefeaturessuchasaninternalWatchdog

Timer,LowVoltageResetandLowVoltageDetectorcoupledwithexcellentnoiseimmunityand

ESDprotectionensurethatreliableoperationismaintainedinhostileelectricalenvironments.

AfullchoiceofHIRCandLIRCoscillatorfunctionsareprovidedincludingafullyintegrated

systemoscillatorwhichrequiresnoexternalcomponentsforitsimplementation.Theabilityto

operateandswitchdynamicallybetweenarangeofoperatingmodesusingdifferentclocksources

givesuserstheabilitytooptimisemicrocontrolleroperationandminimizepowerconsumption.

TheinclusionofflexibleI/Oprogrammingfeatures,Time-Basefunctionsalongwithmanyother

featuresensurethatthedevicewillfindexcellentuseinapplicationssuchaselectronicmetering,

environmentalmonitoring,handheldinstruments,householdappliances,electronicallycontrolled
