Removal and Replacement

1. Have handy a screwdriver with a size T 15 TorxR tip (Items 1 and 2).

2. Pull out on both of thehubs on thecabinet handleto unlock it for posi

tioning. Whileholding thehubs unlocked, rotatethehandletowards the

bottom of theoscilloscope.

3. Set theoscilloscopeso its faceis down with its front cover on thework

surface and its bottom facing you. Reference Figure 85 on page 814 as

you do thefollowing steps.

4. Removethefour T 15 TorxR screws securing the rear cover to the

oscilloscope. Lift off the rear cover. If no other parts are being serviced,

skip to the end (step 11) of this procedure.

5. RemovethesingleT 15 TorxR screw at theleft sideof theoscilloscope.

6. Lift thecabinet upwards to slideit off theoscilloscope.

7. If no other cabinet parts are being serviced, skip the rest of this proce

dure.

8. Working from theinsideof thecabinet, removetheT 20 TorxR screw

securing each handle hub to the cabinet.

9. Working from theoutsideof thecabinet, grasp thetwo handlehubs and

pull them outward from the cabinet until they are out of the cabinet.

10. Whileholding thehandlehubs pulled out, lift thehandleaway to remove.

11. Reinstallation:

a. Do, in reverse order, steps 9 and 8 to reinstall the handle assembly.

b. Do, in reverse order, steps 6 through 4 to reinstall the cabinet, while

observing the following precautions:

H Takecarenot to bind or snag thecabinet on internal cabling;

redress cables as necessary.

H When sliding thecabinet onto theoscilloscope, besurethat the

front and rear ridges of themain chassis slideinto thegrooves at

therear of thecabinet and on thefront trim.

H Install the four screws at the rear panel before installing the single

screw at theleft sideof thecabinet.
