andSector3.Allmicrocontrollerprogramsrequireanareaofread/writememorywheretemporary

datacanbestoredandretrievedforuselater.ItisthisareaofRAMmemorythatisknownas

GeneralPurposeDataMemory.ThisareaofDataMemoryisfullyaccessiblebytheuserprograming

forbothreadingandwritingoperations.Byusingthebitoperationinstructionsindividualbitscanbe

setorresetunderprogramcontrolgivingtheuseralargerangeofflexibilityforbitmanipulationin

theDataMemory.

This area of Data Memory is where registers, necessary for the correct operation of the
