thepulsewidth.AcomparematchfromComparatorAwillalsogenerateaTMinterrupt.Thecounter

canonlyberesetbacktozerowhentheT0ONbitchangesfromlowtohighwhenthecounter

restarts.IntheSinglePulseModeCCRPisnotused.TheT0CCLRandT0DPXbitsarenotusedin

thisMode.

Capture Input Mode

ToselectthismodebitsT0M1andT0M0intheTM0C1registershouldbesetto01respectively.

Thismodeenablesexternalsignalstocaptureandstorethepresentvalueoftheinternalcounter

andcanthereforebeusedforapplicationssuchaspulsewidthmeasurements.Theexternalsignalis

suppliedontheTP0_0orTP0_1pin,whoseactiveedgecanbeeitherarisingedge,afallingedgeor

bothrisingandfallingedges;theactiveedgetransitiontypeisselectedusingtheT0IO1andT0IO0

bitsintheTM0C1register.ThecounterisstartedwhentheT0ONbitchangesfromlowtohigh

whichisinitiatedusingtheapplicationprogram.

WhentherequirededgetransitionappearsontheTP0_0orTP0_1pinthepresentvalueinthe

counterwillbelatchedintotheCCRAregistersandaTMinterruptgenerated.Irrespectiveofwhat

eventsoccurontheTP0_0orTP0_1pinthecounterwillcontinuetofreerununtiltheTnONbit

changesfromhightolow.WhenaCCRPcomparematchoccursthecounterwillresetbacktozero;

inthiswaytheCCRPvaluecanbeusedtocontrolthemaximumcountervalue.WhenaCCRP

comparematchoccursfromComparatorP,aTMinterruptwillalsobegenerated.Countingthe

numberofoverflowinterruptsignalsfromtheCCRPcanbeausefulmethodinmeasuringlong

pulsewidths.TheTnIO1andTnIO0bitscanselecttheactivetriggeredgeontheTP0_0orTP0_1

pintobearisingedge,fallingedgeorbothedgetypes.IftheTnIO1andTnIO0bitsarebothset

high,thennocaptureoperationwilltakeplaceirrespectiveofwhathappensontheTP0_0orTP0_1

pin,howeveritmustbenotedthatthecounterwillcontinuetorun.

AstheTP0_0orTP0_1pinispinsharedwithotherfunctions,caremustbetakeniftheTMisinthe

InputCaptureMode.Thisisbecauseifthepinissetupasanoutput,thenanytransitionsonthispin

maycauseaninputcaptureoperationtobeexecuted.TheT0CCLRandT0DPXbitsarenotusedin

thisMode.
