16 / 33 page ![]() 16 www.national.com 7.0 Register Descriptions The 87200 is a single function device. Its register space is called the Bridge Configuration Registers Space (F0) which is accessed through the PCI interface using the PCI Type One Configuration Mechanism. The PCI header is a 256-byte region used for configuring a PCI device or function. The first 64 bytes are the same for all PCI devices and are predefined by the PCI specification. These registers are used to configure the PCI for the device. The rest of the 256-byte region is used to configure the device or function itself. The remaining subsections of this chapter is as follows: — A brief discussion on how to access the registers located in the PCI Configuration Space. — Register summary. — Detailed bit formats of all registers. 7.1 Register Summary The tables in this subsection summarize all the registers of the PC87200. Included in the tables are the register’s reset values. Table 3.
