Inter-Integrated Circuit (I2C) controller modules

The MPC5645S includes four I2C modules. Each module features the following:

Software-selectable acknowledge bit

Interrupt-driven, byte-by-byte data transfer

Arbitration-lost interrupt with automatic mode switching from master to slave

Repeated START signal generation
