Troubleshooting
Thissection containsinformation and proceduresdesigned to help you
isolate faulty modules in the oscilloscope. If you need to replace a module,
use the Removal and Replacement proceduresimmediately preceding this
section.
The onboard diagnosticsfocuson verifying, calibrating, and isolating faulty
modules. Use the following procedure to activate the diagnostics.
1. Power up the oscilloscope and allow a 20 minute warmup period.
2. Press the front panel button UTILITY.
3. Repeatedly press the main menu button System until Diag ishighlighted
in the popup menu. Thiscallsup the diagnosticsmenu, shown in Figure
814.

4. Press the main menu button Loop. Select one of the following options
from the side menu.
H Press Once to run the tests once.
H Press Always to run the tests continuously until you cycle the power.
