30 / 92 page ![]() WM8580 Production Data W PD Rev 4.0 February 2007 30 ZERO FLAG OUTPUT Each DAC channel has a “zero detect circuit” which detects when 1024 consecutive zero samples have been input. Should both channels of a DAC indicate a zero-detect (or if either DACPD or DMUTE is set for that DAC), then the Zero Flag for that DAC is asserted. The DZFM register bits determine which Zero Flag is visible on the MUTE and GPO pins. Mute will be removed as soon as either of those stereo channels receives a non-zero input. DAC DIGITAL VOLUME CONTROL The DAC volume may also be adjusted in the digital domain using independent digital attenuation control registers REGISTER ADDRESS BIT LABEL DEFAULT DESCRIPTION 7:0 LDA1[7:0] 11111111 (0dB) Digital Attenuation control for DAC1 Left Channel (DACL1) in 0.5dB steps.
