In some applications, button or user interface keypad can trigger overlay images being
called by the μC as shown in Figure 15.

Host Mode with Flash
Overlay information may also be passed by the µC without a need for an EEPROM or
Flash memory. However, because the data transfer rate is limited over the two-wire serial
bus, the update rate may be slower. However, if overlay images are preloaded into the
four on-chip buffers, they may be turned on and off or move location at the frame rate as
shown in Figure 16.
