Flash Program Memory

TheProgramMemoryisthelocationwheretheusercodeorprogramisstored.Forthisdevice

theProgramMemoryareFlashtype,whichmeansitcanbeprogrammedandre-programmed

alargenumberoftimes,allowingtheusertheconvenienceofcodemodificationonthesame

device.Byusingtheappropriateprogrammingtools,thisFlashdeviceoffersuserstheflexibilityto

convenientlydebuganddeveloptheirapplicationswhilealsoofferingameansoffieldprogramming

andupdating.

Structure

TheProgramMemoryhasacapacityof4K×16bits.TheProgramMemoryisaddressedbythe

ProgramCounterandalsocontainsdata,tableinformationandinterruptentries.Tabledata,which

canbesetupinanylocationwithintheProgramMemory,isaddressedbyaseparatetablepointer

Program Memory Structure

Special Vectors

WithintheProgramMemory,certainlocationsarereservedfortheresetandinterrupts.Thelocation

000Hisreservedforusebythisdeviceresetforprograminitialisation.Afteradeviceresetis

initiated,theprogramwilljumptothislocationandbeginexecution.

Look-up Table

AnylocationwithintheProgramMemorycanbedefinedasalook-uptablewhereprogrammerscan

storefixeddata.Tousethelook-uptable,thetablepointermustfirstbesetupbyplacingtheaddress

ofthelookupdatatoberetrievedinthetablepointerregister,TBLPandTBHP.Thisregisterdefines

thetotaladdressofthelook-uptable.

Aftersettingupthetablepointer,thetabledatacanberetrievedfromtheProgramMemoryusing

the"TABRD[m]"or"TABRDL[m]"instructions,respectively.Whentheinstructionisexecuted,

thelowerordertablebytefromtheProgramMemorywillbetransferredtotheuserdefined

DataMemoryregister[m]asspecifiedintheinstruction.Thehigherordertabledatabytefrom

theProgramMemorywillbetransferredtotheTBLHspecialregister.Anyunusedbitsinthis

transferredhigherorderbytewillbereadas"0".
