InthePWMMode,thePTnIO1andPTnIO0bitsdeterminehowthePTMnoutput pinchangesstatewhenacertaincomparematchconditionoccurs.ThePWMoutput functionismodifiedbychangingthesetwobits.Itisnecessarytoonlychangethe valuesofthePTnIO1andPTnIO0bitsonlyaftertheTMhasbeenswitchedoff. UnpredictablePWMoutputswilloccurifthePTnIO1andPTnIO0bitsarechanged whenthePTMnisrunning.
