Multi-function Interrupt

WithinthesedevicesthereareuptothreeMulti-functioninterrupts.Unliketheotherindependent

interrupts,theseinterruptshavenoindependentsource,butratherareformedfromotherexisting

interruptsources,namelytheTMInterrupts,EEPROMInterruptandLVDInterrupt.

AMulti-functioninterruptrequestwilltakeplacewhenanyoftheMulti-functioninterruptrequest

flags,MF0F~MF2Fareset.TheMulti-functioninterruptflagswillbesetwhenanyoftheirincluded

functionsgenerateaninterruptrequestflag.Toallowtheprogramtobranchtoitsrespectiveinterrupt

vectoraddress,whentheMulti-functioninterruptisenabledandthestackisnotfull,andeitherone

oftheinterruptscontainedwithineachofMulti-functioninterruptoccurs,asubroutinecalltooneof

theMulti-functioninterruptvectorswilltakeplace.Whentheinterruptisserviced,therelatedMulti-

Functionrequestflag,willbeautomaticallyresetandtheEMIbitwillbeautomaticallyclearedto

disableotherinterrupts.

However,itmustbenotedthat,althoughtheMulti-functionInterruptflagswillbeautomatically

resetwhentheinterruptisserviced,therequestflagsfromtheoriginalsourceoftheMulti-

functioninterrupts,namelytheTMInterrupts,LVDInterruptandEEPROMInterrupt,willnotbe

automaticallyresetandmustbemanuallyresetbytheapplicationprogram.

EEPROM Interrupt

TheEEPROMInterruptiscontainedwithintheMulti-functionInterrupt.AnEEPROMInterrupt

requestwilltakeplacewhentheEEPROMInterruptrequestflag,DEF,isset,whichoccurswhen

anEEPROMWritecycleends.Toallowtheprogramtobranchtoitsrespectiveinterruptvector

address,theglobalinterruptenablebit,EMI,EEPROMInterruptenablebit,DEE,andassociated

Multi-functioninterruptenablebitmustfirstbeset.Whentheinterruptisenabled,thestackisnot

fullandanEEPROMWritecycleends,asubroutinecalltotherespectiveMulti-functionInterrupt

vector,willtakeplace.WhentheEEPROMInterruptisserviced,theEMIbitwillbeautomatically

clearedtodisableotherinterrupts,howeveronlytheMulti-functioninterruptrequestflagwillbe

alsoautomaticallycleared.AstheDEFflagwillnotbeautomaticallycleared,ithastobeclearedby

theapplicationprogram.

LVD Interrupt

TheLowVoltageDetectorInterruptiscontainedwithintheMulti-functionInterrupt.AnLVD

InterruptrequestwilltakeplacewhentheLVDInterruptrequestflag,LVF,isset,whichoccurs

whentheLowVoltageDetectorfunctiondetectsalowpowersupplyvoltage.Toallowtheprogram

tobranchtoitsrespectiveinterruptvectoraddress,theglobalinterruptenablebit,EMI,andLow

VoltageInterruptenablebit,LVE,andassociatedMulti-functioninterruptenablebit,mustfirst

beset.Whentheinterruptisenabled,thestackisnotfullandalowvoltageconditionoccurs,

asubroutinecalltotheMulti-functionInterruptvector,willtakeplace.WhentheLowVoltage

Interruptisserviced,theEMIbitwillbeautomaticallyclearedtodisableotherinterrupts,however

onlytheMulti-functioninterruptrequestflagwillbealsoautomaticallycleared.AstheLVFflagwill

notbeautomaticallycleared,ithastobeclearedbytheapplicationprogram.
