Single Pulse Output Mode

Toselectthismode,therequiredbitpairs,TnM1andTnM0shouldbesetto10respectivelyandalso

thecorrespondingTnIO1andTnIO0bitsshouldbesetto11respectively.TheSinglePulseOutput

Mode,asthenamesuggests,willgenerateasingleshotpulseontheTMoutputpin.

ThetriggerforthepulseoutputleadingedgeisalowtohightransitionoftheTnONbit,which

canbeimplementedusingtheapplicationprogram.HoweverintheSinglePulseOutputMode,the

TnONbitcanalsobemadetoautomaticallychangefromlowtohighusingtheexternalTCKnpin,

whichwillinturninitiatetheSinglePulseoutput.WhentheTnONbittransitionstoahighlevel,the

counterwillstartrunningandthepulseleadingedgewillbegenerated.TheTnONbitshouldremain

highwhenthepulseisinitsactivestate.Thegeneratedpulsetrailingedgewillbegeneratedwhen

theTnONbitisclearedtozero,whichcanbeimplementedusingtheapplicationprogramorwhena

comparematchoccursfromComparatorA.

HoweveracomparematchfromComparatorAwillalsoautomaticallycleartheTnONbitandthus

generatetheSinglePulseoutputtrailingedge.InthiswaytheCCRAvaluecanbeusedtocontrolthe

pulsewidth.AcomparematchfromComparatorAwillalsogenerateTMinterrupts.Thecountercan

onlyberesetbacktozerowhentheTnONbitchangesfromlowtohighwhenthecounterrestarts.In

theSinglePulseOutputModeCCRPisnotused.TheTnCCLRbitisalsonotused.
