During power-on reset (POR), the default values are stored in the registers. A POR is initiated when

power is first applied to the part and the voltage on the VDD supply surpasses the VDD_TH level as

specified in the electrical characteristics. Any reads to undefined registers will return 00h. Writes to

undefined registers will not have an effect.

When a bit is “set”, this means that the user writes a logic ‘1’ to it. When a bit is “cleared”, this means

that the user writes a logic ‘0’ to it.

10.1

Current Measurement Register

The Current Measurement register stores the measured current value delivered to the portable device

(IBUS). This value is updated continuously while the device is in the Active power state. The bit weights

are in mA and the range is from 9.76 mA to 2.5 A.

This data will be cleared when the device enters the Sleep or Detect states. This data will also be

cleared whenever the port power switch is turned off (including during emulation or any time that VBUS

is discharged).
