Conclusions

Electrically Erasable and PROgrammable Memory (EEPROM) devices are standard

products, used for the non-volatile storage of parameters, with fine-granularity data.

There is no single memory technology (SRAM, DRAM, EEPROM, Flash Memory, EPROM,

ROM) that meets all application needs perfectly. In the case of an EEPROM, an application

designer needs to know the particular strengths and weaknesses of the device technology

and device architecture in order to define an optimal control of parameters for his

application. In doing so, the application will remain within the specification, with the best

performances and reliability level.
