DataMemory.ThisareaofDataMemoryisfullyaccessiblebytheuserprogramingforbothreading

andwritingoperations.Byusingthe“SET[m].i”and“CLR[m].i”instructionsindividualbitscan

besetorresetunderprogramcontrolgivingtheuseralargerangeofflexibilityforbitmanipulation

intheDataMemory.

thesespecialfunctionregistersandthepointwheretheGeneralPurposeMemorybeginsisreserved

andattemptingtoreaddatafromtheselocationswillreturnavalueof00H.

LCD Memory

ThedatatobedisplayedontheLCDisalsostoredinanareaoffullyaccessibleDataMemory.By

writingtothisareaofRAM,theLCDdisplayoutputcanbedirectlycontrolledbytheapplication

program.AstheLCDMemoryexistsinBank1,buthaveaddresseswhichmapintotheGeneral

PurposeDataMemory,itisnecessarytofirstensurethattheBankPointerbits,BP.2,BP.1andBP.0

aresettothevalues“001”,toensurethattheLCDMemoryisaccessed.TheLCDMemorycanonly

beaccessedindirectlyusingthememorypointerMP1andtheindirectaddressingregisterIAR1.
