Standard TM Operation

Thereisa16-bitwideSTM.Atthecoreisa16-bitcount-upcounterwhichisdrivenbyauser

selectableinternalorexternalclocksource.Therearealsotwointernalcomparatorswiththenames,

ComparatorAandComparatorP.Thesecomparatorswillcomparethevalueinthecounterwith

CCRPandCCRAregisters.TheCCRPcomparatoris8-bitwidewhosevalueiscomparedthewith

highest8bitsinthecounterwhiletheCCRAisthesixteenbitsandthereforecomparesallcounter

bits.

Theonlywayofchangingthevalueofthe16-bitcounterusingtheapplicationprogram,isto

clearthecounterbychangingtheT2ONbitfromlowtohigh.Thecounterwillalsobecleared

automaticallybyacounteroverfloworacomparematchwithoneofitsassociatedcomparators.

Whentheseconditionsoccur,aTMinterruptsignalwillalsousuallybegenerated.TheStandard

TypeTMcanoperateinanumberofdifferentoperationalmodes,canbedrivenbydifferentclock

sourcesincludinganinputpinandcanalsocontrolanoutputpin.Alloperatingsetupconditionsare

selectedusingrelevantinternalregisters.
