AsboththeperiodanddutycycleofthePWMwaveformcanbecontrolled,thechoiceofgenerated waveformisextremelyflexible.InthePWMmode,theT2CCLRbithasnoeffectasthePWM period.BothoftheCCRAandCCRPregistersareusedtogeneratethePWMwaveform,oneregister isusedtocleartheinternalcounterandthuscontrolthePWMwaveformfrequency,whiletheother oneisusedtocontrolthedutycycle.Whichregisterisusedtocontroleitherfrequencyordutycycle isdeterminedusingtheT2DPXbitintheTM2C1register.ThePWMwaveformfrequencyandduty cyclecanthereforebecontrolledbythevaluesintheCCRAandCCRPregisters. Aninterruptflag,oneforeachoftheCCRAandCCRP,willbegeneratedwhenacomparematch occursfromeitherComparatorAorComparatorP.TheT2OCbitintheTM2C1registerisusedto selecttherequiredpolarityofthePWMwaveformwhilethetwoT2IO1andT2IO0bitsareusedto enablethePWMoutputortoforcetheTMoutputpintoafixedhighorlowlevel.TheT2POLbitis usedtoreversethepolarityofthePWMoutputwaveform. • 16-bit STM, PWM Mode, Edge-aligned Mode, T2DPX=0 CCRP 1~255 000b Pe�iod CCRP×�5� �553� Duty CCRA IffSYS=16MHz,TMclocksourceselectfSYS/4,CCRP=2andCCRA=128, TheSTMPWMoutputfrequency=(fSYS/4)/(2×256)=fSYS/2048=7.8125kHz,duty=128/(2×256) =25%.
