ThisbitisusedtoselectifthefHclockorthefH/2~fH/64orfLclockisusedasthe

systemclock.WhenthebitishighthefHclockwillbeselectedandiflowthefH/2~

fH/64orfLclockwillbeselected.WhensystemclockswitchesfromthefHclocktothe

fLclockandthefHclockwillbeautomaticallyswitchedofftoconservepower.

Fast Wake-up

TominimisepowerconsumptionthedevicecanentertheSLEEPorIDLE0Mode,wherethesystem

clocksourcetothedevicewillbestopped.Howeverwhenthedeviceiswokenupagain,itcantake

aconsiderabletimefortheoriginalsystemoscillatortorestart,stabiliseandallownormaloperation

toresume.ToensurethedeviceisupandrunningasfastaspossibleaFastWake-upfunctionis

provided,whichallowsfSUB,namelyLIRCoscillator,toactasatemporaryclocktofirstdrivethe

systemuntiltheoriginalsystemoscillatorhasstabilised.AstheclocksourcefortheFastWake-

upfunctionisfSUB,theFastWake-upfunctionisonlyavailableintheSLEEP1andIDLE0modes.

WhenthedeviceiswokenupfromtheSLEEP0mode,theFastWake-upfunctionhasnoeffect

becausethefSUBclockisstopped.TheFastWake-upenable/disablefunctioniscontrolledusingthe

FSTENbitintheSYSMODregister.

IftheHXToscillatorisselectedastheNORMALModesystemclock,andiftheFastWake-up

functionisenabled,thenitwilltakeonetotwotSUBclockcyclesoftheLIRCoscillatorforthe

systemtowake-up.ThesystemwilltheninitiallyrununderthefSUBclocksourceuntil1024HXT

clockcycleshaveelapsed,atwhichpointtheHTOflagwillswitchhighandthesystemwillswitch

overtooperatingfromtheHXToscillator.

IftheERCorHIRCoscillatorsorLIRCoscillatorisusedasthesystemoscillatorthenitwilltake

15~16clockcyclesoftheERCorHIRCor1~2cyclesoftheLIRCtowakeupthesystemfromthe

SLEEPorIDLE0Mode.TheFastWake-upbit,FSTENwillhavenoeffectinthesecases.
