49 / 82 page  48 AT25SL321 DS-25SL321–112H–2020-10 8.28 JEDEC ID (9Fh) For compatibility reasons, the AT25SL321 provides several instructions to electronically determine the identity of the device. The Read JEDEC ID instruction is congruous with the JEDEC standard for SPI compatible serial flash memories that was adopted in 2003. The instruction is entered by driving the CS pin low with following the instruction code 9Fh. JEDEC assigned Manufacturer ID byte for Adesto (1Fh) and two Device ID bytes, Memory Type (ID15-ID8) and Capacity (ID7-ID0) are then shifted out on the falling edge of SCK with most significant bit (MSB) first shown in Figure 8-46 and Figure 8-47. For memory type and capacity values, see Manufacturer and Device Identification Table 8-1. The JEDEC ID can be read continuously. The instruction is terminated by driving CS high. Figure 8-46.
