18 / 50 page  TLE5012B Application Circuits Data Sheet 18 Rev. 2.0, 2014-02 It is also possible to use an open-drain setup for the DATA, SCK and CSQ lines. This setup is designed to communicate with a microcontroller in a bus system, together with other SSC slaves (e.g. two TLE5012B devices for redundancy reasons). This mode can be activated using the bit SSC_OD. The open-drain configuration can be seen in Figure 3-7. Series resistors on the DATA, SCK, and CSQ lines are recommended to limit the current in case either the microcontroller or the sensor are accidentally switched to push- pull.
