General Description

ThedevicesareFlashMemorywith8-bithighperformanceRISCarchitecturemicrocontrollers.

OfferinguserstheconvenienceofFlashMemorymulti-programmingfeatures,thesedevicesalso

includeawiderangeoffunctionsandfeatures.OthermemoryincludesanareaofRAMData

MemoryaswellasanareaoftrueEEPROMmemoryforstorageofnon-volatiledatasuchasserial

numbers,calibrationdataetc.

Analogfeaturesincludeamulti-channel12-bitA/Dconverterfunction.Multipleandextremely

flexibleTimerModulesprovidetiming,andPWMgenerationfunctions.Protectivefeaturessuchas

aninternalWatchdogTimer,LowVoltageResetcoupledwithexcellentnoiseimmunityandESD

protectionensurethatreliableoperationismaintainedinhostileelectricalenvironments.

AfullchoiceofHXT,HIRCandLIRCoscillatorfunctionsareprovidedincludingafullyintegrated

systemoscillatorwhichrequiresnoexternalcomponentsforitsimplementation.Theabilityto

operateandswitchdynamicallybetweenarangeofoperatingmodesusingdifferentclocksources

givesuserstheabilitytooptimisemicrocontrolleroperationandminimisepowerconsumption.

TheinclusionofflexibleI/Oprogrammingfeatures,Time-Basefunctionsalongwithmanyother

featuresensurethatthedeviceswillfindexcellentuseinapplicationssuchaselectronicmetering,

environmentalmonitoring,handheldinstruments,householdappliances,electronicallycontrolled

tools,motordrivinginadditiontomanyothers.
