Standard Type TM Operating Modes TheStandardTypeTMcanoperateinoneoffiveoperatingmodes,CompareMatchOutputMode, PWMOutputMode,SinglePulseOutputMode,CaptureInputModeorTimer/CounterMode.The operatingmodeisselectedusingtheSTM1andSTM0bitsintheSTMC1register. Compare Match Output Mode Toselectthismode,bitsSTM1andSTM0intheSTMC1register,shouldbesetto00respectively. Inthismodeoncethecounterisenabledandrunningitcanbeclearedbythreemethods.Theseare acounteroverflow,acomparematchfromComparatorAandacomparematchfromComparatorP. WhentheSTCCLRbitislow,therearetwowaysinwhichthecountercanbecleared.Oneiswhen acomparematchfromComparatorP,theotheriswhentheCCRPbitsareallzerowhichallowsthe countertooverflow.HerebothSTMAFandSTMPFinterruptrequestflagsforComparatorAand ComparatorPrespectively,willbothbegenerated. IftheSTCCLRbitintheSTMC1registerishighthenthecounterwillbeclearedwhenacompare matchoccursfromComparatorA.However,hereonlytheSTMAFinterruptrequestflagwillbe generatedevenifthevalueoftheCCRPbitsislessthanthatoftheCCRAregisters.Thereforewhen STCCLRishighnoSTMPFinterruptrequestflagwillbegenerated.IntheCompareMatchOutput Mode,theCCRAcannotbesetto“0”. Asthenameofthemodesuggests,afteracomparisonismade,theTMoutputpin,willchangestate. TheTMoutputpinconditionhoweveronlychangesstatewhenaSTMAFinterruptrequestflagis generatedafteracomparematchoccursfromComparatorA.TheSTMPFinterruptrequestflag, generatedfromacomparematchoccursfromComparatorP,willhavenoeffectontheTMoutput pin.ThewayinwhichtheTMoutputpinchangesstatearedeterminedbytheconditionofthe STIO1andSTIO0bitsintheSTMC1register.TheTMoutputpincanbeselectedusingtheSTIO1 andSTIO0bitstogohigh,togolowortotogglefromitspresentconditionwhenacomparematch occursfromComparatorA.TheinitialconditionoftheTMoutputpin,whichissetupafterthe STONbitchangesfromlowtohigh,issetupusingtheSTOCbit.NotethatiftheSTIO1andSTIO0 bitsarezerothennopinchangewilltakeplace. |
