Atitscoreisa16-bitcount-upcounterwhichisdrivenbyauserselectableinternalclocksource.

Therearealsotwointernalcomparatorswiththenames,ComparatorAandComparatorP.These

comparatorswillcomparethevalueinthecounterwithCCRPandCCRAregisters.TheCCRPis8-bit

widewhosevalueiscomparedwiththehighest8bitsinthecounterwhiletheCCRAis16bitsand

thereforecompareswithallcounterbits.

Theonlywayofchangingthevalueofthe16-bitcounterusingtheapplicationprogram,isto

clearthecounterbychangingtheSTONbitfromlowtohigh.Thecounterwillalsobecleared

automaticallybyacounteroverfloworacomparematchwithoneofitsassociatedcomparators.

Whentheseconditionsoccur,aTMinterruptsignalwillalsousuallybegenerated.TheStandard

TypeTMcanoperateinanumberofdifferentoperationalmodes,canbedrivenbydifferentclock

sourcesincludinganinputpinandcanalsocontrolanoutputpin.Alloperatingsetupconditionsare

selectedusingrelevantinternalregisters.
