Transfer Function

In generally the implemented A/D converter represents a delta-sigma converter, which performs

charge balancing between the input light at the photodiodes and an internal reference. The input

currents of the photodiodes result in pulse density modulated digital signals, further filtered by

counters up to 24 bits. At the end,

each channel’s counter status represents a digital equivalent of the

average input light irradiance regarding to the channe

l’s sensor area within the conversion time

interval. The input light irradiance can be calculated from the measurement result by:
