2.5.2. Parallel Input Output Interface (PIO)

The parallel interface of the MAS 3506D consists of

the lines PI0..PI4, PI8, PI12..PI19:

These signals are used to indicate the status of the

Broadcast Channel and the MPEG Layer 3 decoder.

The PIO pin status is also accessible via I2C interface

(see Table 3–10).
