Program Memory

TheProgramMemoryisthelocationwheretheusercodeorprogramisstored.Thedeviceis

suppliedwithOne-TimeProgrammable,OTP,memorywhereuserscanprogramtheirapplication

codeintothedevice.Byusingtheappropriateprogrammingtools,OTPdevicesofferusersthe

flexibilitytofreelydeveloptheirapplicationswhichmaybeusefulduringdebugorforproducts

requiringfrequentupgradesorprogramchanges.

Structure

TheProgramMemoryhasacapacityof1k×14bits.TheProgramMemoryisaddressedbythe

ProgramCounterandalsocontainsdata,tableinformationandinterruptentriesinformation.Table

datawhichcanbesetinanylocationwithintheProgramMemoryisaddressedbyseparatetable

pointerregisters.

Program Memory Structure

Special Vectors

WithintheProgramMemory,certainlocationsarereservedfortheresetandinterrupts.

Reset Vector

Thisvectorisreservedforusebythedeviceresetforprograminitialization.Afteradeviceresetis

initiated,theprogramwilljumptothislocationandbeginexecution.

External interrupt vector

Thisvectorisusedbytheexternalinterrupt.Iftheexternalinterruptpinonthedevicereceivesan

edgetransition,theprogramwilljumptothislocationandbeginexecutioniftheexternalinterruptis

enabledandthestackisnotfull.Theexternalinterruptactiveedgetransitiontype,whetherhighto

low,lowtohighorbothisspecifiedintheCTRL1register.

Timer/Event counter 0 interrupt vector

ThisinternalvectorisusedbytheTimer/EventCounter.IfaTimer/EventCounteroverflowoccurs,

theprogramwilljumptoitsrespectivelocationandbeginexecutioniftheassociatedTimer/Event

Counter0interruptisenabledandthestackisnotfull.
