17 / 46 page  UM0969 Board description Doc ID 17665 Rev 2 17/46 The STEVAL-IHM027V1 includes a hardware OT protection that stops the PWM signal path from the MCU to STGIPS10K60A logic input once the maximum allowable temperature is passed. With the chosen value, the OT protection limit is set to 70 °C. Another suggested scheme, generally adopted for temperature monitoring and protection, is shown in Figure 8. The NTC voltage is directly monitored by the MCU and an additional comparator enables/disables the board, according to the temperature thresholds. Figure 8. OT protection circuit Table 2.
