32 / 175 page  Rev. 1.00 3� De�e��e� 01� �01� Rev. 1.00 33 De�e��e� 01� �01� HT66F019 A/D Flash MCU with EEPROM HT66F019 A/D Flash MCU with EEPROM EEPROM Data Memory ThisdevicecontainsanareaofinternalEEPROMDataMemory.EEPROMisbyitsnatureanon- volatileformofre-programmablememory,withdataretentionevenwhenitspowersupplyis removed.Byincorporatingthiskindofdatamemory,awholenewhostofapplicationpossibilities aremadeavailabletothedesigner.TheavailabilityofEEPROMstorageallowsinformationsuch asproductidentificationnumbers,calibrationvalues,specificuserdata,systemsetupdataorother productinformationtobestoreddirectlywithintheproductmicrocontroller.Theprocessofreading andwritingdatatotheEEPROMmemoryhasbeenreducedtoaverytrivialaffair. EEPROM Data Memory Structure TheEEPROMDataMemorycapacityis64×8bitsforthedevice.UnliketheProgramMemoryand RAMDataMemory,theEEPROMDataMemoryisnotdirectlymappedintomemoryspaceand isthereforenotdirectlyaddressableinthesamewayastheothertypesofmemory.ReadandWrite operationstotheEEPROMarecarriedoutinsinglebyteoperationsusinganaddressandadata registerinBank0~Bank1andasinglecontrolregisterinBank1. EEPROM Registers ThreeregisterscontroltheoveralloperationoftheinternalEEPROMDataMemory.Thesearethe addressregister,EEA,thedataregister,EEDandasinglecontrolregister,EEC.AsboththeEEA andEEDregistersareaccessableinallbanks,theycanbedirectlyaccessedinthesamewayasany otherSpecialFunctionRegisterwhicharelocatedinBank0.TheEECregister,however,onlybeing locatedinBank1,canbereadfromorwrittentoindirectlyusingtheMP1MemoryPointerand IndirectAddressingRegister,IAR1.BecausetheEECcontrolregisterislocatedataddress40Hin Bank1,theMP1MemoryPointermustfirstbesettothevalue40HandtheBankPointerregister, BP,settothevalue,01H,beforeanyoperationsontheEECregisterareexecuted.
