Compact Type TM Operating Modes TheCompactTypeTMcanoperateinoneofthreeoperatingmodes,CompareMatchOutputMode, PWMOutputModeorTimer/CounterMode.TheoperatingmodeisselectedusingtheCTM1and CTM0bitsintheCTMC1register. Compare Match Output Mode Toselectthismode,bitsCTM1andCTM0intheCTMC1register,shouldbesetto"00" respectively.Inthismodeoncethecounterisenabledandrunningitcanbeclearedbythree methods.Theseareacounteroverflow,acomparematchfromComparatorAandacomparematch fromComparatorP.WhentheCTCCLRbitislow,therearetwowaysinwhichthecountercanbe cleared.OneiswhenacomparematchoccursfromComparatorP,theotheriswhentheCCRPbits areallzerowhichallowsthecountertooverflow.HerebothCTMAFandCTMPFinterruptrequest flagsfortheComparatorAandComparatorPrespectively,willbothbegenerated. IftheCTCCLRbitintheCTMC1registerishighthenthecounterwillbeclearedwhenacompare matchoccursfromComparatorA.However,hereonlytheCTMAFinterruptrequestflagwillbe generatedevenifthevalueoftheCCRPbitsislessthanthatoftheCCRAregisters.Thereforewhen CTCCLRishighnoCTMPFinterruptrequestflagwillbegenerated.IftheCCRAbitsareallzero, thecounterwilloverflowwhenitsreachesitsmaximum16-bit,FFFFHex,value,howeverherethe CTMAFinterruptrequestflagwillnotbegenerated. Asthenameofthemodesuggests,afteracomparisonismade,theCTMoutputpinwillchange state.TheCTMoutputpinconditionhoweveronlychangesstatewhenaCTMAFinterruptrequest flagisgeneratedafteracomparematchoccursfromComparatorA.TheCTMPFinterruptrequest flag,generatedfromacomparematchoccursfromComparatorP,willhavenoeffectontheCTM outputpin.ThewayinwhichtheCTMoutputpinchangesstatearedeterminedbytheconditionof theCTIO1andCTIO0bitsintheCTMC1register.TheCTMoutputpincanbeselectedusingthe CTIO1andCTIO0bitstogohigh,togolowortotogglefromitspresentconditionwhenacompare matchoccursfromComparatorA.TheinitialconditionoftheCTMoutputpin,whichissetupafter theCTONbitchangesfromlowtohigh,issetupusingtheCTOCbit.NotethatiftheCTIO1and CTIO0bitsarezerothennopinchangewilltakeplace. |
