On the right side of the window some miscellaneous controls can be found (Figure 39). The

Device Controls frame (highlighted in red) groups the following functions:

●

Device power-up: controls the device standby. This control physically handles the

device standby pin.

●

Reset: controls the reset of the device. This control physically handles the device reset

pin (thus it forces the reset). It also writes the device default values into the local bank

as described in the datasheet. It performs the same operations performed by the

RESET token in the script (50 milliseconds reset pulse).

●

Initialize: applies the minimum group of settings to bring the device to an operational

status (these settings may vary from product to product).

●

Bridge power-up: controls the power-up of the bridge.

Below these controls is located the Configuration frame (highlighted in blue). The APW,

indeed offers the possibility of saving or loading a device configuration in order to avoid

repeating long setup procedures. According to the definition given in the Introduction, the

device configuration will comprise the registers bank, the coefficients bank and the filters
