BecausetheTBLHregisterisaread-onlyregisterandcannotberestored,careshouldbetaken toensureitsprotectionifboththemainroutineandInterruptServiceRoutineusetableread instructions.Ifusingthetablereadinstructions,theInterruptServiceRoutinesmaychangethe valueoftheTBLHandsubsequentlycauseerrorsifusedagainbythemainroutine.Asaruleitis recommendedthatsimultaneoususeofthetablereadinstructionsshouldbeavoided.However,in situationswheresimultaneoususecannotbeavoided,theinterruptsshouldbedisabledpriortothe executionofanymainroutinetable-readinstructions.Notethatalltablerelatedinstructionsrequire twoinstructioncyclestocompletetheiroperation.
