Figure 29. MAC asynchronous input signals timing waveform 5.7.6 MAC serial management channel timing characteristics (MDIO/MDC) The MAC_MDIO and MAC_MDC signals are used to perform serial management channel timing. The MDC frequency should be equal to or less than 2.5 MHz to be compliant with the IEEE 802.3 MII specification. However, MAC can function correctly with a maximum MDC frequency of 15 MHz. Figure 30.
