159 / 1348 page  MC9S12XDP512 Data Sheet, Rev. 2.21 Freescale Semiconductor 159 Chapter 5 Analog-to-Digital Converter (S12ATD10B8CV2) 5.1 Introduction The ATD10B8C is an 8-channel, 10-bit, multiplexed input successive approximation analog-to-digital converter. Refer to device electrical specifications for ATD accuracy. 5.1.1 Features • 8/10-bit resolution •7 µsec, 10-bit single conversion time • Sample buffer amplifier • Programmable sample time • Left/right justified, signed/unsigned result data • External trigger control • Conversion completion interrupt generation • Analog input multiplexer for 8 analog input channels • Analog/digital input pin multiplexing • 1-to-8 conversion sequence lengths • Continuous conversion mode • Multiple channel scans • Configurable external trigger functionality on any AD channel or any of four additional external trigger inputs. The four additional trigger inputs can be chip external or internal. Refer to the device overview chapter for availability and connectivity. • Configurable location for channel wrap around (when converting multiple channels in a sequence). 5.1.2 Modes of Operation 5.1.2.1 Conversion Modes There is software programmable selection between performing single or continuous conversion on a single channel or multiple channels. |
