Toaccomplishthisparalleling,tietheREF/BYPpinsof theparalleledregulatorstogether.Thiseffectivelygives anaveragedvalueofmultiple600mVreferencevoltage sources.TietheOUTpinsoftheparalleledregulatorsto thecommonloadplanethroughasmallpieceofPCtrace ballastoranactualsurfacemountsenseresistorbeyond theprimaryoutputcapacitorsofeachregulator.There- quiredballastisdependentupontheapplicationoutput voltageandpeakloadcurrent.Therecommendedballast isthatvaluewhichcontributes1%toloadregulation.For example,twoLT3071regulatorsconfiguredtooutput1V, sharinga10Aloadrequire2mΩofballastateachoutput. TheKelvinSENSEpinsconnecttotheregulatorsideof theballastresistorstokeeptheindividualcontrolloops fromconflictingwitheachother(seeFigures8and9).
