7 Application and Implementation

7.1 Application Information

The TPD4S201 provides 4-channels of short-to-VBUS overvoltage protection for the CC1, CC2, SBU1, and SBU2

pins of the USB Type-C connector. The TPD4S201 provides adequate system protection as well as insuring that

proper system operation is maintained. The following application example explains how to properly design the

TPD4S201 into a USB Type-C system.
