AS3956 − Detailed Description

Energy Harvesting

AS3956 has energy harvesting capability. The regulated voltage

output pin for energy harvesting is VP_REG. The energy

harvesting is enabled only in Power Mode 0. Figure 16 shows

settings of the regulated voltage output. The AS3956 can

supply IVP_REG from VP_REG in a strong field. The current which

can be supplied by VP_REG and its output resistance will vary

with field strength, antenna class and voltage setting. The

output voltage and resistance can be set by Configuration Byte

IC_CFG1.The energy harvesting can be disabled by setting the

output resistance register to 0 as shown in Figure 15.
