21 / 90 page  DocID025386 Rev 10 21/90 M24SR02-Y M24SR02-Y memory management 28 3 M24SR02-Y memory management 3.1 Memory structure The M24SR02-Y supports the NDEF Tag Application as defined in the NFC Forum Type 4 Tag. The M24SR02-Y is composed of three files: • One Capability Container file • One NDEF file • One System file: this is an ST-proprietary file The System file contains some information on the configuration of the M24SR02-Y device. The CC file gives some information about the M24SR02-Y itself and the NDEF file. The NDEF file contains the User data. 3.1.1 File identifier The file identifier is the value used in the Select command to select a file. 3.1.2 CC file layout The CC file gives some information about the M24SR02-Y and the NDEF file. This file is a read-only file for the RF or I²C host and cannot be modified by issuing a write command. The T field, Read Access and Write Access fields can be changed by the RF or I²C host by issuing a specific process (refer to Section 8: Functional procedures). Table 3.
