Synchronizingtheconverterwiththesystemclockallows
thedesignertoconfineswitchingnoisetoclocktransitions,
minimizinginterferenceandreducingtheneedforfiltering.In
syncmode,theconverterwillrunatanyfrequencybetween500
kHzand675kHz.Thesynccontroloperateswithadutycycle
between40%and60%.Thesyncpinmustbeconnectedtoinput
commonpinwhennotinuse.
DynaMiC response
TheMTRSeriesfeed-forwardcompensationsystemprovides
excellentdynamicresponseandnoiserejection.Audiorejection
istypically40dB.Theminimumtomaximumsteplinetransition
responseistypicallylessthan4%.
inhibit FunCtion
MTRSeriesconvertersprovideaninhibitterminalthatcanbe
usedtodisableinternalswitching,resultinginnooutputvoltage
andverylowquiescentinputcurrent.Theconverterisinhibited
whentheinhibitpinispulledbelow0.8voltsandenabledwhen
itsinhibitpinisleftfloating.Anexternalinhibitinterfaceshouldbe
capableofpullingtheconverter’sinhibitpinbelow0.8voltswhile
sinkingthemaximuminhibitcurrentandalsoallowingtheinhibit
pintofloathightoenabletheconverter.Avoltageshouldnotbe
appliedtotheinhibitpin.Theopencircuitvoltagepresentonthe
inhibitpinis9to11volts
