Typical application is LED ON/OFF control. This is the dual reporting mode. The SX8661Z offers additionally a triple reporting mode which allows the reporting of proximity by a medium strong LED intensity (section 3.17.5). Transitions between ON and OFF states can be triggered either automatically in Autolight mode or manually by the host. This is illustrated in figures below.
