84 / 86 page  CRC (Informative) LRI1K 84/86 Doc ID 17170 Rev 3 B.3 Application family identifier (AFI) (informative) The AFI (application family identifier) represents the type of application targeted by the VCD and is used to extract from all the LRI1K present only the LRI1K meeting the required application criteria. It is programmed by the LRI1K issuer (the purchaser of the LRI1K). Once locked, it cannot be modified. The most significant nibble of the AFI is used to code one specific or all application families, as defined in Table 94. The least significant nibble of the AFI is used to code one specific or all application subfamilies. Subfamily codes different from 0 are proprietary. Table 94. AFI coding(1) 1.
